Building Better Neighbourhoods 7 Key Themes

The Building Better Neighbourhoods Roadmap identifies seven core themes for improving the planning scheme. These themes are essentially a summary of the key changes in Amendment Package 1. These themes give the community a good overview of the intent of the changes and what Council is aiming to do.

How to make a properly made submission

During the consultation period any person can make a submission about the proposed Amendment Package 1 for the Fraser Coast Planning Scheme.

In order for a submission to be considered properly made’, under the Planning Act 2016, it must:

  • Be in writing (submitted online, by email, in person or post).
  • Include full name and address of the person (all persons) making the submission
  • Be signed by the person who made the submission (online form is written name)
  • Provide one postal or electronic address for service.
  • Be received on or before the last day for making a submission (11:55pm Friday 1 May 2026).
